Almond Blossom Doodles
Breeder of Top Quality Designer Goldendoodles
A quick note to let you know that we made it
safely back to Las Vegas, and our little fella is doing GREAT! (We're  going to let our grandchildren help us name him tomorrow, when they  come over.) He traveled beautifully in the car. And our Siberian
Husky, Hunter, is head over heels in love with him!!!!

I thought you would enjoy seeing this article I wrote on Goldendoodles. I used Toby's photo. (Be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to see the images.)

We are SOOOOOO in LOVE with him!!! Thank you again! :)

Love,
Linda and Linwood B.

Thought you would like to see how one of your pups is coming along at 13
weeks. watch out!

Brady has slept through the night starting with the third night.  He picked
up the potty training very well, with only the occasional accident inside
now; he will sit, lay down, and roll over for a treat, and he also already
brings in (actually drags in) the newspaper every morning.  Puppy classes
start in another week.

Hope you and your families had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  As you could  tell
from the photos, we were running around a lot with smiles and laughter.  He
is a great joy and addition to our family.

Best regards,

Jim, Joanne and Hayden B.

Here is a picture of "adult" Maisy

(with Penelope, the rescue
dog that we had last year that - and in spite of my herculean training and work,
could not get comfortable around kids and now lives with a single woman,
hence our search for a puppy that has no fear of children.)

Best, Katherine

We wanted to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas! Attached are pictures of our family including Archie.  He was especially cute this day.  Have a great holiday and a wonderful New Year.  Sally and Ric
We named our little boy Kona.  He is just the
most delightful dog. We feel very blessed to have him in our lives. He has
always been calm and gentle but full of life and fun when given the
opportunity. My husband runs with him almost every day and he fetches better
than any dog we've had. Kona's personality is full of humor and yet as
loving and quiet as can be. When our granddaughter put her tiny foot into
his mouth he looked up at us like what do I do now? He just left his mouth
wide open until she moved it out. What a love.

Thank you so much for this very special dog.

Just an update. Winston ate not one sock, but two. The sock I knew about passed on Friday. The sock that the Vet removed was something he had eaten earlier and so it was a surprised to me. He is doing very well and as soon as he can get back to his normal quantity of food we will all be happier. He has to stay on the frequent small meals until Friday. We have been able to increase the amount a little, but he is still below his normal intake. So I have one hungry boy.
I love him more every day.

Hi Julie and Shelly
I thought I would say hi and give you an update on Lucca. He is doing great
and up to 24 lbs now. He catches on easily to commands and has a great
personality. We met up with his brother Cooper (Karin) today. It was really
fun to see them together. They look totally different from each other. Lucca
has shorter hair and is more buff color than cream. Carla D.
"Tahoe" Medium English Goldendoodle
First and foremost, we are in LOVE, love, love with our puppy Tahoe.  He has the most loveable personality and is such
a lover.  We can barely walk down the block without getting stopped every inch to talk about his breed and
how beautiful and well mannered he is.  I always tell them it's in the gene's.  The big question everyone loves to ask is
"how big will he eventually be?"  Since he is a mini, I usually tell them a range as I have no idea....Tahoe went thru a big growth
spurt from week 11 to 14 (13 to 20lbs) and now at 20 weeks he is a healthy 22.4lbs.  He is getting his grown up fur which is still super soft, I call him my ragamuffin b/c he is soo curly and puffy.  Tahoe is now fully potty trained and when he
needs to go, he stands patiently by the back door and waits to be let out.  He also goes on command.  We let him
outside and say "go pottie" and he'll look back and then turn back around and do his business.  I will also brag and mention what an awesome sleeper Tahoe is.  Thanks to you, he loves his crate.  Every night he goes to bed when we do around 9:30pm and he
sleeps till 7:30am which is SOOOO nice especially on the weekends.  Everyone said getting a dog was going to be a lot of work and I would miss my quiet time.  I can honestly say that I am happy I didn't believe my friend because Tahoe is not a lot of work and my quiet time is now shared with someone else instead of alone.  He has brought us so much happiness and love, if anything my life is now my complete because Tahoe is in it.

Thanks for raising such a beautiful, gentle, amazing puppy!

Love,

Darcy + Family

Here is a picture of Gem taken yesterday July 29  She is now 18 pounds and probably the best dog we have ever had (and we have had many)  I still tell people she is a little girl trapped i n a halloween costume
We are now involved in therapy dog training with her.  She has so much to share.  We are so grateful to you and your breeding program.  I hope all of your puppies are as wonderful as Gem

We will keep you advised as to her progress in life.  There is no one who meets her who doesn't fall madly in love with her Thanks so much! Jean G

I wanted to send you an updated photo of Lucca at 9 months (Sept 19
Tula/Micah). He is an incredible dog. You were very right about him being
independent. The good part (at least I think so) is that he chooses who to
play with. He is not a dog to run with the ³pack² at the park. He is more
one on one. He is not as hyper as some other puppies I see. In fact people
comment on how calm he is. Mind you..he has many ³puppy² moments!! His
independence and stubbornness has had to endure training but I think all
these dogs need training and he loves the sessions. He is extremely smart
and catches on very quickly. He Is so adorable that we get stopped all the
time on our walks to ask what kind of dog he is and your name always gets
mentioned!!.  We have had the opportunity to meet with Cooper and Kia a few
times and are very amazed at how different all these dogs are. They each
have their own personalities and looks yet they definitely have similar
characteristics. We hope to meet Tahoe in August. Mochi (from the current
litter) lives close to us so we plan to get together after he has had all
his shots. Our neighbor in San Mateo (Bob), I¹m sorry I don¹t know their
last name will be getting a pup from Tula¹s next litter. Like us he had a
Golden Retriever that passed and has fallen in love with Lucca. Lucca is
around 34 lbs at this point. I don¹t expect him to get any larger than 40.
It¹s a great manageable size.
I have enjoyed the Doodlekisses website because all of us Almond Blossom
owners keep in touch (thanks to Liza) and share stories and advice. I hope
you are able to pass on this info to new dog owners because it really helps
through puppy stages and their growing up.
Enough said. I just wanted to (again) say thank you. You have given our
family an incredible dog. Lucca has filled the void that I had after Mia (my
Golden Retriever) passed 1000 times over. We love him to pieces and...he is
definitely a mama¹s boy!!!

Just wanted to let you know that we are crazy in love our little Sherman.  In fact, he may be one of the cutest puppies ever!  He adjusted to our home very quickly.  House breaking has been good, (knock wood)and he has loads of personality.  The kids are thrilled with him.   As soon as he has his final shots we will start puppy school.

Blessings, Stephanie
"Bella" Medium English Goldendoodle

These past few days I have been having fun making homemade doggie treats ( like Bella needs treats)  :)   she loves, loves ,loves healthy people food.  I try and keep it all healthy and not get crazy with them as I don't want weight issues down the road.  I understand not having extra time to check out the doodlekisses website,  playing on this computer can be time consuming for sure, so I should cut this short!   :)
     Take care, Love Diane

Jordan and I thought we'd just send along a picture of Wrigley from Hank and
Anja's litter for a little update and to say thank you! Wrigley is just
about 12 weeks old now and 22 lbs., and the transition has been very smooth.
Everywhere we go people stop and ask us about what kind of dog he is (lots
seem to think Portuguese Water Dog) and pet him. He is such a curious,
friendly puppy, and very smart. We've given your website out to a couple
people in the area interested in Goldendoodles. Thank you very much for such
a wonderful addition to our family!

We purchased one of Eleanor's pups from her
November litter and we just wanted to give you an update on how our little girl
is doing. Molly is such an amazing puppy!  I can't tell you how happy we  are
with her....she is the absolute perfect fit for our  family!    She is 7
months now and about 65 pounds. She has  the sweetest, most gentle temperament
and is absolutely stunning to look  at. EVERYWHERE we go, people stop us to
admire her and ask about her  because she is so pretty and well behaved and
sweet. I'm sending you a photo of  her so you can see what she looks like
now. Her fur is just gorgeous...still  very soft like a retriever, but with a
gentle wave to it.  The only area  where her fur is really curly like the
poodle is on the front of her  paws. Our vet is completely enchanted by
her....she has seen bad examples  of the breed from disreputable breeders and was
not overly enthusiastic when we  told her we were getting one. But she is
blown away by Molly's beautiful looks,  her temperament, and by how smart she
is!!!  I can't get over how easy it  has been to train her. We are in an
intermediate level obedience class now and  Molly only needs about 1 or 2
repetitions to learn a tasks....the trainers and  the other class members are
constantly amazed by how quickly she picks things  up.

So thank you, thank you, thank you for our beautiful puppy! She has become
the heart of our home and we can't imagine life without her. Happy Mother's
Day to Eleanor and to you!  We hope 2009 has been going well for you so
far. If you ever have a potential client who is interested in meeting an
example  of your litters, we would be more than happy to show off Molly.....she
is truly  an outstanding dog!

Best to you and your family-

"Nala" Mini English Goldendoodle

We are thoroughly enjoying our Nala!  She seems to be adjusting well to life in the Smith household.  You and your family did a nice job raising her!  We get compliments all the time on how pretty she is and what a great disposition she has.  We will do our best to keep you posted on how our "little girl" is doing.

Sincerely,
Debbie S
Shelly and Julie!

I hope this finds you both well!  Yesterday, was the one year anniversary from the day we came and picked out our boy, Kachi (a Micah-Tula pup)!  I just wanted you to see what a handsome young man he has become!  We can't believe how much he has grown in a years time.  As of last Friday, he weighs in at 57 lbs of pure love (and goofiness)!  He is our big boy, and as you can see he has retained his beautiful cream coat, which is truly as soft as it looks.

Wanted to share photos of Mason with you now that he is just over a year old (April 3rd, 2009).  Isn't he handsome.  He makes us very happy and he has a sweet disposition.  He loves doggie day care, go goes twice a week.  They say he is busy the whole day!  One of the pictures attached is of him graduating intermediate puppy training.  He graduated the top of his class - a very smart boy.  Please share with Micah and Estee what a great boy they made.

Thanks again and hope all is well,

I hope you are doing well.  We got one of your puppies last year in April--Tula & Micah litter.  His name is Barley (BooBear) and he weighs 55 lbs!!!  My sister got one of the brothers (Bailey).  Barley is wonderful, we are enjoying him so much.  He is full of energy that's for sure!  He gives us great pleasure and puts a smile on our face even when he does something he should do!!! Thanks for a great addition to the family!

Just an update about Kia.  She continues to be sweet, affectionate,
cute and smart!  She loves people and children, and is doing well in
puppy school and day care.  Everyone comments about how adorable and
well mannered she is. She is also full of positive energy.  We love
her and love spending time with her.  She brings such joy to all of us.

We finally got together this weekend with 2 of Kia's brothers (Lucca,
whose owner is Carla, and Cooper, whose owners are Karin & Bill).

Anyway, here are 3 most recent pictures of Kia... and one of the 3
"siblings" together.  Kia is darkest in color and also the largest (34
lbs).  Cooper is next in size (30 lbs) and is all white/cream.  Lucca
is the smallest, and has mixture of the two colors.

Thanks again for giving us such a bundle of joy.

All is well with Jemima. She is doing really well and is a very good
listener. Truman loves her with all his heart and I have to take her
to school everyday to pick him up. Thought you'd like an update. Hope
all is well.

Thank you so much for our puppy.  I have attached some pictures for you to see.  We named her Alma after Almond Blossom.  And Alma means "all's good" in Irish.  She is over 5 months old now and weighs 30 pounds.  She is so sweet and gentle yet has her moments of zooming around, digging holes, and eating flowers in the yard.  We have taken her to puppy play classes and puppy training.  She is very smart and already knows several commands and tricks.  She plays well with other dogs and thinks everyone is her friend.  She loves the water (I can't keep her out of it - especially the neighbor's sprinklers when we are on walks!) and is a fantastic retriever.

She has been great with her crate ever since we brought her home.  You mentioned that you started crate training the litter at your house and I'm sure that helped tremendously.   We also kept to your schedule of waking her up around 6:00 am and putting her to bed around 10 pm.  Sometimes she will just climb in the crate on her own and fall asleep, especially at night.  She has never had an accident in her crate and has been house trained for months now.  We have been leaving the door to her crate open even at night and she does great.

There are several of us from this litter and past litters who correspond on Doodlekisses.com.  It's been fun to hear all the stories and see pictures of the puppies.  Alma was able to meet and play with her brother who lives in the Bay area.  Please tell all your owners about this web site.  It is a great source of information.

Thank You,

Diane, Dave, Owen and Sarah

Hi Julie and Shelly

My friends Jenna and Mara Y. let me know that they are picking up their
TWO new puppies on the 26th! I wanted to thank you for getting them two
puppies

Looks like Riley will be a step brother here in St Helena to play with.
Maybe you will see them all on the sidelines of a 49er game or two as I am
sure Jenna and Mara will bring them to the owners box!

I have to say - WE LOVE our Riley!! I can't tell you how many people stop us
on the street - I probably hand your name out at least 3-4 times a week!  He
is an incredibly happy little guy and runs around the winery and vineyards
making friends where ever he goes.  Another friend of mine Kristy B
should be contacting you as well -

BTW - I met one of your good friends on the street in St Helena while she
was on vacation. She literally stopped us and said..Is this one of Julies
dogs?...I got a kick out of it

Attached is a cute photo of Riley in the vineyards..he's about 20 pounds
now, know about 20 tricks and loves to go to the dog park on Sundays!

Thank you again for adding him to our lives
